Cancellation/No-Show Policies
All who RSVP for NIRI events but find that they cannot attend will be invoiced for the cost of the event unless notice of cancellation is given by the date and time indicated on the event RSVP form. No-shows (those who RSVP but do not give notification by the cancellation date and do not attend the event) will also be invoiced.

Late cancellation and no-show invoices will be mailed following events and are due upon receipt. Checks should be made payable to NIRI Seattle. We regret that we are unable to accept late cancellation and no-show payments by credit card.

The NIRI Seattle Board of Directors has implemented the late cancellation and no-show policies so the Chapter can continue to provide quality programming of interest to members. Meal costs represent a very significant percentage of events. NIRI Seattle is contractually obligated to pay the event venue for all meals ordered based on RSVPs submitted up to the cancellation date and time, regardless of whether the submitter is able to attend.

New Late Reservation Policy Now in Effect
Effective January 2006, NIRI Seattle has changed its event and activity late-registration policy. Registrations and cancellations must be made by the deadline given at the top of this invitation.

New Payment Policy Now in Effect
Effective January 2006, NIRI Seattle has changed its event and activity payment policy. Payment must be made ONLINE ONLY, using the RSVP form on the Chapter's secure server. NIRI Seattle is no longer able to accept payment by mail, at the door, or by billing.

Your board has implemented these new policies to ensure equitable and efficient processing of your event payments and registrations, to aid in timely preparation of meals and seating, and to reduce the Chapter's ongoing administrative tasks associated with events and activities. These policies allow NIRI Seattle to focus volunteer resources towards continually improved programs, and they are in line with the practices of similar professional organizations.
