The
panel includes: Marj Charlier, Vice President, Investor Relations,
RealNetworks, Inc. and Anne Bugge, Vice President, Corporate Affairs,
Sonosite, Inc.
Marj joined Real Networks, a leading
creator of digital media services and software, in December as Vice
President of Investor Relations. Previously, she served as Director of
Investor Relations at Expedia, Inc., IAC/Interactive Corp., Cyprus Amax
Minerals Co. and Amax Gold Inc. In addition, she created and developed
clientele for the investor relations practice of Johnston Wells Public
Relations Company in Denver. Marj also served as Director of Corporate
Social Responsibility for two years at Expedia, Inc., creating the
first corporate philanthropy and cause-related marketing programs at
the company, including the conception and negotiation of the World
Heritage Alliance with the United Nations Foundation. For a dozen years
prior to her investor relations career, Marj was a reporter with the
Wall Street Journal. She has a BA in Journalism and International
Studies from Iowa State University, where she was inducted into Phi
Beta Kappa; a masters degree in Journalism and Environmental Studies
from the University of Wisconsin Madison; and an MBA from Regis
University in Denver. In 2006, Marj received the Distinguished Service
Award from the University of Wisconsin Journalism School. She serves on
the non-profit boards at the University of Wisconsin and the Global
Heritage Fund.
Anne joined SonoSite, the world leader
in hand-carried ultrasound, in February 2005 and is responsible for
developing and managing SonoSite's corporate and investor
communications worldwide. Prior to SonoSite, she worked with the EVC
Group, an investor and corporate communications firm specializing in
advising small cap companies. Anne also served as Vice President,
Corporate and Investor Relations for ATL Ultrasound, Inc. from 1987
until its acquisition by Philips Medical Systems in 1998. She received
a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from Michigan State University,
continued academic studies at the University of Oslo and completed the
Stanford University Executive Program.
The panel will be moderated by Dan
Eramian, Executive Vice President, Cell Therapeutics, Inc. Dan, who
joined CTI as Executive Vice President, Corporate Communications in
March 2006, is a member of the Company's senior management team and is
responsible for developing and implementing the internal and external
communications strategy. Dan brings nearly 13 years of experience in
the biotechnology industry to the position. Most recently he was Vice
President of Communications at BIO, a Washington, DC based industry
organization representing more than 1,200 biotechnology companies,
academic institutions, state biotechnology centers, and related
organizations. Prior to BIO, Dan was Assistant Administrator of
Communications at the Small Business Administration and Director of
Public Affairs at the Department of Justice and Chief Spokesman for the
Attorney General. Previously, he served as Chief of Staff to the Senate
Leader in the Massachusetts Legislature, and was also Executive Editor
of Suburban World Newspapers in the Boston area. Dan holds a B.A. in
English Literature from UMass/Amherst and an M.P.A. from Suffolk
University. |
